Tornado
I've never seen a tornado in person. Luckily, this one was not very close.
These pictures were taken tonight from our front door.
We haven't heard of any damage - and this didn't last very long.

I just feel so bad for those people in Joplin. How very scary.

Sunday afternoon
Last Sunday some Girl Scout leaders gathered at a private outdoor area for a cookout/pot-luck lunch. We had a great time and I thought I would share some pictures from the trip.
It was a family event, here's Rominal enjoying the day.
And Bailey and me.
And Bailey took a good picture of me and Rominal.
But here's the reason why we were here - for the kids.
They went canoeing.
And had a great time.
There was giant wild-life to climb on.
I love taking pictures of Rominal and Bailey when they don't know I'm taking pictures.
Oops - she caught me.
It wasn't long before a seaweed, or should I say, pond-weed fight broke out.
The weeds were flying!
They were having such fun!
Luckily us Mom's stayed pond-weed free.
It was a beautiful day - we had a great time with great people!

Kitchen Sink Egg Muffins
Well, that title doesn't sound appealing at all, does it?
Oh well. That title fits.
If your anything like me, your mornings are hectic. I will sometimes do to much in the morning, thinking it will only take me a few minutes to grab this, or just a few minutes to do that. Before I know it, I've spent an hour doing "just this one little thing" or "while I'm here I should do that" type stuff. So, anything I can get myself to do before hand is a good thing.
Having my breakfast ready was one of those things I can do ahead of time.
Last week I made these muffins and they were really good, even really good the next couple of days - so I thought I would share them with you.
Here's what I did, and I think the beauty of this recipe is that it can be adapted to fit your likes and dislikes, or to what you have on hand.
For these pictures, I used:
- 5 Eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup cubed pork loin from the dinner before
- 1 cup chopped up broccoli from the dinner before
- 1/4 - 1/3 cup shredded cheese
I sprayed a muffin tin with Pam (be sure to do this - even with doing this and using my non-stick muffin pan, they were still a bit difficult to get out).
Mix together the eggs, pork, broccoli, and cheese and add in a bit of salt and pepper. Bake in 375' oven for about 20-25 minutes, but keep an eye on them until they are set in the middle.
I put my leftovers in the fridge and would take out 1-2 each day for breakfast. Toss them in the microwave and they are yummy! They are pretty low in calories and they keep you full until lunch - another bonus.
The neat thing is that this would work well with other ingredients as well. Choose your favorite meat and veggie, or just do veggies.
Enjoy!

Random Cat Pictures
Just since I haven't posted in a while, I thought I would share some random cat pictures of our cat Twister, or Cow, as my brother David calls him.
This is Twister on catnip.
Notice the dilated pupils. The dazed look. He's loving it.
This is a continuation of my series, stuff on my cat.
After having the stuff on him, he had to play with it a bit. This is a stuffed animal he's chomping on. No mice were harmed in the making of this picture.
And how lazy do you have to be to drink water while laying down? That's how Twister does it.
One final strange thing he does - he loves ice. He runs to the fridge whenever he hears the ice maker.
